Live the Dream Events
People from the Skillnet Group’s Media Studies Course have designed the ‘Live the Dream’ website - as a means of informing people about the different opportunities there are for people with learning difficulties, to celebrate those opportunities and to show the achievements of people with learning difficulties in Kent.
People with and without learning difficulties are involved in all aspects of developing and maintaining the site. We aim to;

Work in partnership with other organisations and groups to advertise their own events and achievements

"One Vision" Tour
We are supporting people to gain qualifications in Music Production and Media Studies, which are accredited with the Open College Network. People are learning skills such as editing and film, DJing, singing and song writing, photography, graphic design, music technology and performing arts. The aim is for people to find real, paid jobs within the music and arts industry.
Skillnet Group
Skillnet Group Community Interest Company is a social enterprise (not-for-profit organisation) working with people with learning difficulties.
Our mission is to support people with a learning difficulty (disability) to speak up, make choices, be heard and taken seriously. We support people with and people without learning difficulties to work together equally to develop projects and support networks and to change attitudes about disability in society generally.
We support people to develop opportunities and become more independent in all aspects of life, including; learning, work, housing, health, money, transport, leisure and relationships.
We focus on making links within local communities so that people with a learning difficulty have an equal place as citizens within mainstream society and are not segregated.
